About Chord Muse
A side project for exploring the guitar visually.
It started with my kids getting interested in music.
I thought I would learn to play guitar myself, so I could help teach them. As I started learning, I quickly realized just how much there was to understand, chords, notes, scales, intervals, patterns, and on top of all that, alternate tunings.
I found myself wanting to see those relationships rather than simply memorize them. So I started building little visual aids to help me understand what I was learning.
Those little experiments eventually became Chord Muse.
What started as a way for me to make sense of the fretboard grew into a collection of tools for exploring chords, scales, notes, and patterns visually.
The idea is pretty simple: sometimes seeing how things connect makes them easier to understand.
Chord Muse is still just a side project.
There isn't a big company behind it or a grand business plan. I build it because I enjoy guitars, music, and making things.
I work on it when I have the time, following ideas that seem interesting or useful. Some things are polished, some things are still evolving, and that's part of the fun.
